Professional Focus

Sebastian’s career has focused on durable conservation outcomes: financing long-term protection, advancing international ocean policy, and helping people understand what is at stake through story, image, and public engagement.

His work has included conservation finance in the Eastern Tropical Pacific, global policy efforts to protect ocean life on the high seas, and advocacy for protecting at least 30% of the ocean by 2030.

Creative Practice

Sebastian’s photography and writing are extensions of his conservation work. Through images and essays, he explores the relationship between people, place, memory, and the natural systems that sustain life.
