A global perspective on conservation.

Sebastian was born in Colombia and grew up living throughout the Americas. He graduated Cum Laude from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service with a degree in Science, Technology, and International Affairs.

His career has focused on conservation finance, international environmental policy, ocean protection, and public storytelling. He currently serves as Campaign Strategist at Blue Nature Alliance and previously worked at The Pew Charitable Trusts, where his work included conservation finance in the Eastern Tropical Pacific and international policy efforts to protect ocean life on the high seas.

A lifelong nature-lover, Sebastian has volunteered and worked on environmental and social issues since middle school. He speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Arabic.

Beyond his professional conservation work, Sebastian is a photographer and writer whose creative practice explores the beauty, fragility, and resilience of the natural world.
